As we step into a new year on January 1st, Seeds of Empowerment is proud to highlight a glimpse of the impactful human trafficking education initiatives undertaken in 2025, recognizing Human Trafficking Awareness month. Our efforts brought anti-trafficking awareness and education to the forefront through various summits and conferences across the state, reaching diverse settings including schools, colleges, universities, community centers, healthcare facilities, and correctional institutions.
We are grateful to our wonderful donors who help us to compensate survivor guest speakers and provide continuing education credits, which allow us the ability to continue to host free public events. We also express our deepest gratitude to our board of volunteers, anti-trafficking allies, and survivor friends who make this critical work rewarding and fulfilling, prioritizing community safety, health, and wellness. With excitement, we look forward to 2026, the launch of our website, and expanding community partnerships to continue our educational efforts alongside our Seeds of Empowerment Women’s group in the Erie County Jail Life Recovery Program. As we embark on human trafficking awareness month let us keep at the front of our hearts and minds, both victims and survivors of human trafficking and never underestimating the power of a planted seed.
